I think that college is worth going. After being homeschooled, I have really taught myself the only way to be educated is to be self educated. Something my Father always told me is a educated man is a self educated man. RPC has taught me that I am in control of my own education. I think that going to college is important in continuing that self education. College for a lot of people is an escape. A place to party and hangout. For me, it’s the opposite. Its a place to grow and learn and earn the skills that it takes to make a decent living. College for me, it necessary to have the life that I want. To be able to be comfortable making purchases. Being able to not be in debt. I think for some people, College is just not an option. For people who aren’t homeschooled, usually their education was handed to them a they were coddled while in school. When they go to college and they have no direction, the typically flunk out, or do terribly. Because of being homeschooled, I have learned that not many people are going to hold your hand through life and a lot of descions you have to make yourself.
I do believe that college is worth it, and I do plan on going. College will be the next step toward having a happy fulfilling life.
