Chapter #9 picks up with the discussion of Lincoln’s Financial legacy and the stain that he left on the American people. He was the one to put in place the Henry Clay Model. Southern statesman for years before tried to stop this from ever going into effect. Famous president Thomas Jefferson was one of the many who was strictly against the model. Because of the war, however, the south had no choice but to submit.
Lastly Chapter 10 wraps the book up and discusses the new America that Lincoln created. The America that is still stained with his reign till this day. That is, the right to decide weather to be in the union. All throughout the war when asked for what reason and why he was fighting, he answered only with, ” To save the Union.” In reality, he stripped the nation right as a whole to decide weather or not they were in the union. Lincoln also completely destroyed the government in which the Founding Fathers created. Lincoln left an American for continuing generations to suffer in
Personal Opinion:
My personal Opinion of this book Thomas DiLorenzo is an excellent Writer. The way he organizes his information doesn’t leave the reader overwhelmed. The book makes great controversial points against one of the most honored American Presidents. I believe all free thinkers who believe in freedom should read this book and consider the information presented.
