For Personal Finance we were given an assignment to use and manage 2 different Calendar applications. Either on smartphone of laptop, we were supposed to use two and compare and contrast the differences. The premise was to find out which one was better of the 2. For the first calendar application I used Calendar by Apple. It was techincally profficent and was usefull for what I needed. The second calendar that I used was Windows. It was usable and as expected for a calendar on a computer.
As mentioned in the above paragraph I used two different Calendar soft ware. The first of which was Apple. When I opened the app, I soon realized this was going to be far supperior to the other Calendar. As I opened the app, I was greeted with all of the months of 2023. They were organized and easy to identify. I began exploring the app and realized I could potentially scroll to any year. The farthest I went on the calendar was to the year 4544. As of right now, that is a supperior planning device. I could plan events that would happen in my 50’s and it would always be there. I can quickly scroll to a date or time and set up an event or agenda in in which I wish to remember.
As for Window’s Calendar it is very ineefecient and almost a waste of time. As soon as I opened the app, it was slow and unresponsive. Immediatly I had to manually scroll through the months and years to set dates. Soon it became trouble some and boring to use this app. Alarms wouldn’t set and simple things like events actually showing up didn’t work.
After examing the two apps, it becomes clear that Apple is the clear winner. Their easy to use App helps them come out on top and the victor.
