The Ron Paul Curriculum is the best homeschooling platform on the market. With over two years of experience using it, I would recommend it to almost anyone. With the Ron Paul, people aren’t being told what to believe. Instead, the instructors simply tell people the facts, and let the students make up their mind. Not many schooling programs do this. THe RPC encourages free thinking and researching things for yourself. In public school, this is frowned upon. Critical thinking, and writing abilities are pushed to the side, so the teachers can enforce a heavy diet of lies and propaganda. Not the RPC. Faith is important to many people, their religion dictates their life. Finding a curriculum that encourages faith can be hard. The RPC teaches all about Christianity and why it is important in the world today. These days, religion has taken the back seat for many people. The RPC never directly tell anyone to worship or not, but this curriculum helps remind people of what is important in life.

Not only is the RPC great for free thinking, their readings are great. While some may be more challenging than others, it’s important to remember, reading great writing always improves your own. Throughout the year, we have read some very prominent writings. Each of this works, were written by dozens of people. Some of these writings include pieces from the bible. For example, while reading genesis, it became very clear humans are here for a purpose. Things like this time and time again proved the worth in the RPC. Throughout reading many of the works, common themes were put together, many of the tales started working together. Trends were found and things were starting to be put together. Each time I read, found it connected to almost everything that we have read so far. The biggest of the read was the to poems Decameron and the Canterbury tales. Both excellent and highly recommended. Both of these have been read to give insight and understanding into the world of Greek literature and other religions.

Decameron was written in 1353. Essentially the story goes that ten men and ten women retreat from the black plague. when this was written in was the middle of the black plague. Each of these people would tell a story one time a day hence their was about 100 stories. Many people love this and find it to be in direct correlation with the Canterbury tales. Decameron was picked apart for reals for its’s relation ship with the world, and other types of tradition. People found many meanings in it. They found that being able to express your self it important, or that being able to connect with people it important. truthfully, they are all correct.

The Canterbury tales were written soon after in the book, it discusses the fact that 24 men and women flee away from the plague towards safety and set up camp. many people think this is directly taken from Decameron and believe that the correlation is also connected to different literatures and religions of the time.

Many believe that there is a relation ship with these writings are connected with Greek and roman literature, others believe it gives more insight into understanding Hebrew and Christians literature.

Greek literature dates as far back as 800 B.C. Many of the writings that have been recovered and restored are myth and legend writings like the odyssey. Roman Literature was mostly written in the ancient language Latin. Roman literature was known for descriptions of their military power at the time. However that is not all. Some Roman Literature was written around comedy, drama, action, and tragedy, which at the time was war. They Pulled much of their inspiration from writing around at the time which were mostly Greek.

Hebrew literature was written mostly by the Jewish People. Much of the literature is very religious, and is all written in Hebrew. Christian literature is the same. Most of it is about the religion of Christianity with it’s biggest writing The Bible.

Lastly Medieval Literature was all over the board on topics. Ranging from religion to war, it was a wild time for writing. Both Decameron and Canterbury tales could be classified in any of these fields. In Decameron there is a story about 3 men. While traveling they fall in love with three sisters. While this may seem nice, however tensions rise and jealousy becomes more and more. Eventually the older sister kills her lover. Then set of lovers is convicted with Murder. People have pointed out that this story is closely related to the works and idea of the Roman and Greek literature. Throughout much of Greek literature as well as Roman Literature discusses that their was a theme of gory violence. The story I just told was very gory.

Canterbury tales is the same. Throughout much of the writing it discusses death and murder. Although there are several examples of Hebrew and Christian religion within, the main outcome is still very lenient on the side of Greek and Roman literature.

While these stories have been classified by professionals for years, people still ask the question of these groups does the stories belong. Many people have answered this question, and many don’t know answer. Looking at the poems and their parts always gives a good idea. While some of these stories discuss religion and problems, many people still believe that these stories are based off of Greek and roman literature because of their style and ideas.

while literature is in a downfall in today’s world, it is nice to return to a time of skilled writing and ability to craft ideas. ancient readings and texts are some of the most important thing a person can understand. it gives insight into the beauty the world once was. Reading things like this also help improve writing abilities, and improve the way we look at the world today. This I know, from the RPC.
