What is one issue that reflects the individualist versus collectivist outlook in your own times? How does it do this?
Indivulasim is what this country was founded on. It means each person is a personal entity with rights. Men and Women fought for years in order to gain this right. The Untied States was a country that promised freedom from almost anything. The major being the freedom to practice religion, the freedom for journalists to write on what they wanted, the right for every United States citizen to own and operate firearms for personal protection. Collectvistim leads to socialism. It is a way to put the people into a cage through central banking, one government, and jailing anyone who doesn’t like it. It’s inhumane and not how people should live. Essentially collectivists want to give a select group of people the most power, and then expect everyone to bow to their every demand and wish. In the world today, there are plenty of examples of this. At one time red vs blue really did mean something. Voting actually mattered, and people were helping their country.
Now in the world today, people are being forced to make a choice, “You have to vote red or you have to vote blue.” That is slowly stripping away the personal liberties that the citizens of this country once enjoyed. People’s perceptions are being manipulated into believing that they have a choice and that they make a difference, however, it is untrue.
