Did the Little Flowers provide the common man with confidence about his own life beyond the grave
Little Flowers was written about the way to get into heaven. Reading this, Christianity has really changed a lot. Over the course of time, things have really changed. back when this book was written, the book explained that the way into heaven was a life of poverty. Of course today, while some Christians live in poverty, a good portion of Christians make a modest comfortable living. While Christianity back then was more strict, today Christians do not have to live in poverty. However, the common man to read this must have been tough. If a converting Christian read this, he would have sold everything he owned to live poor for Christ. This must have given the common man confidence. Now they had a clear direct path in life to follow. It was plain and simple. It told a man how to live, and what to worship.
