Discuss two weak points in the views of Karl Marx, and explain what’s wrong with them. Karl Marx was flawed in his thinking. He believed that Bosses were lazy, and money hungry. This is flawed because if a boss is really that lazy, than the business is going to fail. This is just obvious fact. If they have no drive, then their business is going to go no where. Secondly, he thought that they were power hungry. This is obviously wrong. They have a drive to make money, however most bosses are not obsessed with money.
What were Herbert Spencer’s views, as you encountered them in the reading for this week? Does he deserve to be called a “Social Darwinist”? Herbert Spencer was not a social Darwinist. In fact he believed in no government intervention at all. He was also strongly against the well fare programs that the government wanted him to donate towards. A social Darwinist believes that that Rich people will succeed and poor people will fail. This was not the case. He did not believe this, and he is not a social Darwinist.
