What is the view of the biblical materials on the role of ethics in the development of history?”

Within The Bible, ethics and sanctions become clear as soon as the reader begins. The Bible is good and holy and for teaching people about their faith, about themselves, and the world they live in. Reading The Bible can make people better Christians, and as well educate themselves on the history of religion. The Bible focuses on Good vs Bad. It writes about how people who do wrong and wish harm will self destroy themselves with time. People who are Bad end up being punished or destroyed, but the people who are holy and righteous are blessed and protected. Within the may stories of the Bible we can see this theme, and how it affects the people within it.

As stated previously, The Bible is the most important Book in the world today. Within it’s stories and teachings, It shows the reader how the world developed, what people were like, and their views on God, and his sanctions. Sanctions are a very important Part of the novel. Within the Story of creation and Adam and Eve, these sanctions become very very clear. In the text, God says to not eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. If they do, they will surely die. This is one of the first sanctions ever created, and this is why it it so important in the development of humanity. Without ethics, the world could not have developed as it has. They do end up eating from the tree, and they get banished from the Garden of Eden. This shows that with their wrong actions, they have now bad consequences.

Without Ethics and morals the world cannot develop and continue to develop. Morals are laws that humans must abide by. With no control or moral, the planet would be a madhouse of people just doing whatever they wanted, an not paying attention to God’s words or teachings. People would not fear God, and without fearing God, they can never have wisdom. This is seen is the Bible. The first step to having wisdom is to first fear God. Ethics are important in this too. In the text there is a crying lady, she begs people to listen to her, but nobody does. Because of this, wisdom will mock them in their downfall. This is ethical and important for development of human history.

The last example of this is the story of Noah and the Flood. Within the text, God is going to destroy the Earth and the living things on it. He decides to spare a man named Noah, and tells him to build a Boat. He then instructs the man to bring 2 of ever animal onto the boat with him, so they don’t go extinct. Noah does these things. This has the most ethical parts to it. Without Noah doing this, he would die, and he would let his family die, but he listens to God and what God had instructed him to do. God also does something ethical by keeping the person that does not deserve the punishment alive.

Ethics are important because the help develop people, and peoples in total. Without ethics the human race could have not survived, or not could it have gotten as far as it has today. Ethics keep people safe and keep them holy.
