Joking aside, why are men far more likely than women to be colorblind?

Being colorblind is very difficult for a lot of reasons. However, for some reason men seem to be more susceptible to color blindness than women are. The most common form of colorblindness is from heredity, Or caused by genetics. Colorblindness is formed from an recessive allele which is an x chromosome. Men and women who have this gene have problems seeing some or none colors. Men have one x chromosome and one y chromosome and women have two x chromosomes. Because of this Men have a greater chance of becoming colorblind or carrying the gene in their genetic make up. This cause for 1 in 12 men having colorblindness, while women stats are only 1 in 200 women are colorblind. In the world today, this means that 95 % of the population in which is colorblind are actually men. In conclusion, men are most likely to have colorblindness because of their genetic make up and heredity.
