How was the English Reformation different from the German Reformation? The Catholic reformation started out of personnel interest of the king. King Henry VIII was married to multiple women over his time as king and started the reformation because he wanted to get divorced to them, which at he time was not allowed, with his many marriages this snow balled into something much greater where many things in the church were reformed and changed. The German reformation started by Martin Luther putting a document on the church door, stating things that they were wrong with the church, and how those things should be.

Xavier’s missionary work was very important and had a large impact This is because he taught the gospel and he used the smartest natives and translated the important texts into their own language. Soon God’s word was being spread effectively through the masses.

The impression left on me is that he wants you to follow these strict christian rules, and that you are not a christian without following these. He worried that they would become to lazy and wait in their faith instead of doing anything to be better christians.
