“How important is the concept of historical sanctions in the Psalms?”

Psalms is an important historical and religious text. Psalms is made of poems, hems, and songs, all of which are prayers to God. Most of these poems is written by David who wrote just about 73 of them. This part of the bible is important because it shows how David praised the lord, and what the lord did to David in return. Each of the poems was well written, and very meaningful. In much of the Psalms text, David asks God to destroy all evil doers, and bless his followers. there are many many pages and paragraphs of this throughout text. So with Davids praying, God says the people who have faith will be rewarded and safe, and the people who do wrong, and follow evil will perish in the day of judgment. Having faith and doing good will satisfy God. Following him and believing him all the time is the way to be saved from evil.

Psalms, as stated above” is one of the most important books in the Bible. The entire thing is made up of prayers to the God. Many of them written by David. Throughout the Book there is a theme that Evil doers must be destroyed or gotten rid of, and the holy and the faithful should be blessed. Ethics and sanctions are extremely important in this Book. Stated previously, those who do not follow God and decide to stray away will surely be punished and face God’s sanctions. Seen here, Sanctions play a large role in life, and in the eyes of God. He wants every body to follow him and believe in him, if not, then they will be punished and perish. This is very similar to the story of Noah. Noah was told by God to build a boat. He then would have to bring two of every animal. God was going to flood the earth and destroy all living things.

If Noah did not do this, he would die in the flood, he had to listen to God, and to listen to his instruction. The same can be seen in the story of Adam and Eve. He told the two of them not to eat from the tree, if they did, they would die, even though they did eat from it, Sanctions and ethics are in every part of the Bible. In the story of Cain and Bible, God punishes Cain for murdering Able. Some of these sanctions are more tucked away and harder to find, but they are just as important. In Psalms 9;1, the speaker talks about how he will tell everyone of Gods good deeds. In this, a man is setting sanctions for himself, and he is going to follow those sanctions. This is also a very important because it is how the speaker views God and what he believes in God.

Psalms is written for prayer. They are for God and there is a consistent theme throughout all of them. The theme is Save the person who is holy and who prays, and punish the person who does not. Punish the evil doer, and the person who strays from God. The sanctions in the book are also extremely important because they show why God was doing something. There are also sanctions people set on themselves, and they make their own punishments. Psalms is important because of the ethics it holds, and the sanctions it tells.
