You are probably taller now than you were 4 years ago. What, specifically, caused you to become taller? Explain what happened on a cellular level.
How is it that humans Grow. In 1 year many humans grow several inches. But how? How does the human body get larger with age? This entire process of growing is called the Cell cycle. This is also known as the M phase. There are 4 total phases to this process. The first of these phases is called pro phase. Protein structures start and move into place, as the nuclear envelope begins to dissolve. The next of these four phases is called Meta phase, Chroatids lineup down the middle of the cell. Then the Ana phase occurs, and chromosomes move up the opposite ends of the cell. Lastly there comes the Telophase in which two nuclei form and clean up, by then the cell splits. In conclusion the cell splits and you get bigger because there are now more cells with in your body.
