Compare and contrast proteins and carbohydrates. Consider how they are formed and their purpose/function inside a cell.
Proteins and carbohydrates are some of the most important things a cell, even though they are very similar, there are also many difference as well. Proteins are made of amino acids called poly peptides. Poly peptides are very important for the protein because they do what the amino acids can not. The protein has several different duties inside of the cell. They help build passage ways, and deliver all sorts of important material that is crucial for the cell. There are all sorts of proteins and many different jobs for each one, many proteins help build structure like horns, or help with chemical reactions.
Carbohydrates are crucial to life. They are formed with carbon and water. There are many types of carbohydrates, but the two biggest are starch and cellulose. Inside of the carbohydrate, Polysaccharides store energy into glycogen and starches. Animals put this energy into glycogen, which when the energy is needed turns into glucose.
As you can see, carbohydrates and proteins are very different in a lot of ways, yet they are also similar. Both of the are equally important, and without them many creatures would not be able to live. The both share important duties inside and outside of the cell, and in the world around them.
