Identify two possible USP’s for the Ron Paul Curriculum
USP stands for a Unique Selling Proposition. The Ron Paul Curriculum has quite a few of them. One of these Unique Selling Propositions is the fact that the students are self taught. The Student develops the ability to self govern. They decide when the want to work, and they decide how much effort they would like to put in. The parent also decides how much work they put in and still has control. At the end of the day, it is a 50/50 on how the education should be run. However, the student learns to “fight for themselves.” If the student doesn’t understand something, they can re-watch the video, or go on the forum provided and ask other students. This is an important skill which will be used in today’s world, and in the future.
The second of these USP’s would be the parent has full access to curriculum. In today’s modern world, the majority of children still go to public school. Some public schools are very restrictive on what they let the parents see. This is a problem because the parents are being shut out of the educational life of their child. However, with the Ron Paul Curriculum, this is no longer a problem. The parent has full access to everything the child does. Not only is this better for them, but it is also better for the student, as now they can get help. If the parent could not get access, Ron Paul would be like many public schools today. But this is what makes the Ron Paul Curriculum different.
