Plunkitt could have had many reasons for sharing how he made his money and became so rich. The truth is we will never really know, but there is a hand full of possibilities. He could have trusted the world with how he made his money, and how other politicians made his money. He could have wanted people to know how business worked, and how politics worked. He also could have made a mistake and not wanted to have told how he made his money. There could be a million possibilities, and they will always be unanswered. This book is read in college all the time, and people are now aware of how the government used to work, and how they used to get salaries.
Like mentioned previously, there could have been a multitude of reasons for him to share the secret of how he got his money. The first being he might have wanted to share how business or politics worked. And if that was his intention, it worked. Anybody who picks this book up can learn how politics work, and how to make money. There are many tips and tricks and people can easily read them. Learning how politics work is important, because the reader can now participate in politics being more knowledgeable then before.
Another reason that could be he wanted people to know how he made his salaries is he wanted the world to know how these politicians were behaving and making money. In today’s world many politicians are sketchy and unable to be trustful. . He was very smart if this was the idea, because people can now stop shady politicians, and let the real ones do what they are supposed to. In today world, there is a large problem with un trust worthy politicians.
The last reason and the most simple could have been he did not want to share how he was making his money and he added it in mistake. He too was secretive with all other politicians for a long time, and it could have been that he did not want to share how he made his money, but the way he wrote it showed how he made his money. Or maybe the editor of the book was asking him questions, and included it without him knowing. There is no way to tell why he included in the book, but maybe he didn’t want to.
Though out reading the book Mr. Plunkitt wrote, it has included many tips, tricks, and secrets to politics that could even be used today. These include, how to win elections, how to stay honest, and definitely how politicians like himself made all there money and became very wealthy. This book is super important in today’s world, and will continue to be important as the world continues to go on. There is so much information in this book, that showed what life was like, and people should keep this book in good condition.
