1.)What kinds of contributions did the monks make to European society. The contributions made towards society were many and great. More specifically, they helped people beyond the monastery, and beyond religion. They helped in the fact that if jobs were lost, if there was a recession, there was still a monk left to restore what was lost, and they could do lots of things like build homes and fix tools.
2.) The Christian writers of the time had positive views of the philosophers of ancient Greece. They liked Socrates, Aristotle, and Plato. However, there is no record of them agreeing or disagreeing, they were very neutral about the writings of those 3.
