Cesar led the Roman Armies in the Gallic Wars, and even defeated Pompey in the civil wars. He then ruled the Roman Republic as a dictator from 49 B.C to 44 B.C, and he ended his reign when he was assassinated. He helped to start the Roman Republic which would form later.
  2.  Discuss the autobiography of Augustus. Augustus Also known as Octavian was the very first Emperor of the Ancient Roman Republic.  He was brought into power as soon as Julius Caesar was assassinated. In 27 B.C it was said he restored the Roman Republic, even though he held almost all of the power of the republic to himself.
