Business lesson 10

Harry Browne’s Book, The Secret to Selling Anything, has many important lessons about business. One of them being about how to listen to the customers needs, and try to meet them in anyway. However, In my opinion, the most important lesson in the book is that selling relies on the service, and that the best approach is the principle of service. Without service the sale will fall out and you will fail. The book is based around this idea.

When trying to sell something, it is important that you know you can solve that persons problem. This doesn’t mean “pushy salesman”, but rather good customer service person. Knowing what the person wants is the biggest thing. Once known, the principle of service comes in. This means be able to help the person with their problems with your service. If what’s sold is defective, replace it. Service is the biggest thing for a Salesman. His approach to selling is the idea of, “I will help however possible”. That’s really how to make the best sales.

In the end, the best Salesman is the one that really cares about his customer. The one that Succeeds will be the one that approached with service and customer understanding. Harry Browne’s Approach really relies on good seller customer relations. This approach also helps set a good name for the Seller. Service is the most important thing for a salesman.
