Minoan Crete
First off, the Minoans were a very early civilization in the Bronze age. The civilization was based off the island of Crete in the Meditraninan Sea. They had gained their name from a British archeologist who named them after a mythological creature King Minos, which was the Son of Zeus. The Minoans did have a economy and because of their location, being on an island, most of their trade was done ever seas. They traded tin and Bronze. The civilization lasted till around 11th century BCE, which was after the Trojan War. From what had been discovered there was not much internal conflict, and battles didn’t begin until the Myceneans invaded from main land Greece.
Crete, the island itself, was located in the Mediterranean Sea. The island had many cities according to Homer. The land was also subject to lots of Natural Disasters. As volcanos erupted frequently.
The Religion of the Minoans was based off Females, as they worshipped goddesses. They had celebrations to honor them.
